Uploading Stacked Panel Data
HI, I am trying to use Eviews 7 to upload stacked balanced panel data. But, I keep getting an error message which says: Can't match numericid series with character id series. I have attached my sheet below. Can someone please advise. Thank you.

Re: Uploading Stacked Panel Data
I just opened that file in EViews (just accepted the defaults by hitting Finish) and it read it as a panel.

Re: Uploading Stacked Panel Data
Thanks Gareth.I know I kept trying and it finally took the sheet. I actually had another question. I want to see a graphical representation of the model versus actual fit. According to the Eviews help guide I should see a Forecast tab. But after running the equation I dont see a Forecast tab anywhere anywhere. Also, there is anyway I can see the t stats of the variables not in the model? Finally, can I ad stock variables within Eviews like for TV effects?

The forecast button will be on the Equation object.
I'm not sure what you mean by "t-stats of variables not in the model".

In my Equations Obnject a Forecast tab is not seen. Someone told me that it is not available for Pooled Regressions.
By t-stats I mean the possible t stat if the variable was put in the model

Re: Uploading Stacked Panel Data
If you have a pool, rather than a panel, there is no easy way to see the fit v actual graph. You'll have to make a model from the pool, then solve the model over the estimation sample, then open up the corresponding series as a group and view the group as a graph.
You can perform an omitted variables test, which might do what you want.
