1. I have a workfile object containing variables which I previously used to run regressions without problems. However, when attempting to run a regression now, I get a code back that reads, “Error in Sample: Range Error.”
2. I can run a simple, birvariate regression on two data series containing randomly generated data outside of this object. Therefore, I suspect it is a workfile object specific problem and not a global option I have erroneously changed.
3. Relatedly, within the error prone workfile object, regressions run on any set of variables fail. Therefore, I further suspect this is not a problem related to the variables themselves or the regression specification but the workfile object as a whole.
4. The workfile has the statistics below, which likewise suggest an error. Note that within the Eviews interface the Alpha / Data Points number is flagged with a red note that says characters are present. Some data series do contain N/A entries but only for a small number of entries at the beginning of the particular series.

Re: Error in Sample: Range Error
Sounds like your workfile is corrupted.
