problem with the command "pagesave" - Eviews 7

Hi there,

I am having a bug with the command "pagesave2 on Eviews 7. I am trying to save some data from Eviews to an excel file.

Upon running the following lines:

%xlsfile = "X:\Equi_Val_Exc_G10\source_modeles_structurel.xlsx"
pagesave(t=excelxml) {%xlsfile} range="facmod" @keep sig_* @smpl 1990m01 @last

I get the following message:

EViews library error: 'Writing Excel (*.xlsx) files is currently not supported' in "PAGESAVE(T=EXCELXML) X:\EQUI_VAL_EXC_G10\SO ...

This is because my excel file is being deleted from its folder when the command is run. Why would that happen?

This isn't a bug. Rather it is exactly as the error message indicates - EViews will not save xlsx files.

But why is the file being deleted when the code runs?
