Hello:
I have created a histogram of some data and calculated the 99% VaR of the observations. I would like to do two things:
1.- Add a threshold to the histogram, i.e. add like a line at the 99% VaR level to the histogram. Or something to symbolize the Var level in the histogram.
2.- Given my information series, count the amount of observations that are greater than my 99% VaR level.
Can these two things be done?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Adding threshold to histogram
What i could is make a graph of just one point and then add this graph to the histogram. can that be done?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Re: Adding threshold to histogram
You can generally add a vertical or a horizontal line to any graph anywhere you want. Would that do the trick for you?
Re: Adding threshold to histogram
Yes that is exactly what i need! could you show me how?
I appreciate it!

Re: Adding threshold to histogram
Make a graph of the series. Freeze the graph. Click the button marked Line/Shade

Figured it out. Many thanks for the heads up!
