Hi everybody,
I'd like to compute the sum of each column of a matrix object by using the matrix function "@csum". The Command Reference tells me that the syntax must be something like: vector nameofvector = @csum(nameofmatrix).
When doing this, I always get the error message "@csum is an illegal or reserved name".
I don't know where my mistake is. When using other commands like "@cmean" or "@cmax" I do not get any mistakes and EViews does what it should.
I know that I could compute the sums of each column by hand by telling EViews to sum up the elements of each colum but this would be somewhat inconvenient.
Thanks for your comments.
P.S.: I am working with EViews Version 6.
