If you set the equation option max iterations to zero, EViews ignores you and resets to the default number of iterations. It would be very helpful if instead EViews produced all the usual results at the current values of the coefficient vector. For example, this gives a quick way of getting log likelihoods or sums of squared residuals for a specified parameter vector.
