Custom Shading

Hello Folks

I've been using a subroutine to shade for US recessions (and this option is now an add in for Eviews 7)

The subroutine places the shaded regions as per specifc dates (i.e. points on the x axis)

My question is - can Eviews create shades horizontaly and place them using coordinates on the chart (x,y) rather than specific data points.
