Re: Maximum number of equations in a system
Yup, that was it -- my sample had exactly 100 observations. Thanks for your help!

Maximum number of equations in a system
Is there a limit to the number of equations you can add to a system? I get a " near singular matrix" error when I try to estimate a system using SUR and more than 100 equations.

PDL coefficients sum to one
Is there a built-in command or option to restrict the coefficients in a PDL to sum to one? I couldn't find anything in the command ref and it would be great to avoid doing it manually! Thanks in advance for your help.

Pageselect problem
Hi there, I'm running into a problem with the pageselect command when working in the EViews 9 command line. If I have a series (or a graph or group object) open in the current page and I try to pageselect a different page in the workfile, nothing happens. This doesn't seem to be a problem if the sam...

Re: fit command when equation contains @pc
April 27th. It works when the sample is set to 2002m12 2002m12?

Re: fit command when equation contains @pc
My apologies, the problem in the example program was indeed caused by a zero value in ser2. I'm giving up on example programs; attached is the workfile that I'm actually having problems with. If I do this: smpl 2002m12 2002m12 core_capnet.forecast temp I get this: "Attempt to raise a negative n...

Re: fit command when equation contains @pc
I just ran the program and the same thing happened when 1999Q4 was equal to 17.

fit command when equation contains @pc
I'm running into a problem when trying to fit an equation that is specified with @pc or @pca. When I try using the fit command when the sample set to a single quarter or month, I get an error saying there's an overflow in the equation. Attached is a program that illustrates the problem (sometimes yo...

Re: Problem opening a database by double clicking on it
Also, this isn't causing any major problems for us - I just thought I'd mention it cause I noticed it.

Re: Problem opening a database by double clicking on it
This is 64-bit EViews 9. I've tried a bunch of databases that were created between now and 2011 and none of them work. We've kept up-to-date on versions, so that includes at least 7-9?

Re: Problem opening a database by double clicking on it
All edbs, 100% of the time. I've tried it out on a bunch of machines running 9 and the same thing happens. It looks like dragging and dropping an edb into EViews if it's already running works though.

Re: Problem opening a database by double clicking on it
That works, as does dbopen in the command line or a program. It's just opening edbs from windows explorer that causes problems.
