Re: Displaying the sample in the "sample" line
Hello Gareth, This might not be the cause, I agree. However: 1 - It appears that the display of a varying sample (very frequent in my case) is new to EViews 13 and 14. 2 - This increases the time taken just as the switch from quiet to verbose. 3 - Calling the very same subroutine under the very same...

Displaying the sample in the "sample" line
Hello from Paris, I have a pproblem with the sample statement. The "quiet" option works quite well for the commands on the bottom line. Hpwever if a program repeats the "sample" statement, the changes in the sample appear in the "sample' line (between the "range" l...

Modelling every country (and group of countries) in the World?
Hello from Paris I have just spent the last weeks using the Word Development Indicators from The World Bank trying to build as many simple macroeconometric models (97 equations, 13 estimated) as I could (there are 265 countries / groups available). From series production to shock analysis on the fut...

Modelling every country (and group of countries) in the World?
Hello from Paris, I am pleased to announce that I have built a series of EViews programs trying (and succeeding in many cases) to build a simple econometric model (around 100 equations, 13 behavioral) for all the countries and groups of countries in the World Bank's Word Development Indicators data ...

Quiet mode in EViews 14 Debug mode
I have a problem with EViews 14 (and 13 too).
Running a program in the Debug mode switches off the Quiet option. As my programs use loops on many elements the Statement line is displayed continuously wihich increases running time by a very large factor, making the process unworkable.

An improved course on macroeconomic modeling
Hello everybody, After a covid-19 pause, my EcoMod course on macroeconimic modeling under Eviews resumes in Prague on 24-30 June this year. Do not miss this opportunity to learn how to build, manage and use a macro-econometrc model. Through a qa practical example, the course allows the user to learn...

DOS access ithout EVies interface
I got this question from my friend Ali Bayar, I would like to run an EViews program (.prg file) using a DOS "command prompt" window (or Windows PowerShell without going through the EViews GUI. When I try the following statement: "C:/Program Files/EViews 13/EViews13.exe" example....

Re: Working of the model.control function
Hello all (and Ferdy in particular, long time no see). I would be interested in some evaluation of the EViews control function. I myself have devised method, described in my book. Did you try it and which one works the best? I am available for any discussion on the subject. Jean Louis (Brillet).

Free modelling lessons on-line with Zoom
I am Jean Louis Brillet, the author of the book on structural modelling, available at: https://www.eviews.com/StructModel/structmodel.html Some of the modelers in EViews should have used it. The response has generally been favorable. Now, I just had an idea. I would be willing and available to produ...
