Here is the fix for future reference.
One of the the "register components" is "com automation & OLE". When we installed the recent EViews 13, that component wasn't registered. Our administrator just registered it and linking has returned.

Re: graph issues in eviews 13
I am aware of that and have named the charts. It's almost like powerpoint doesn't recognize eviews.
Does the update require renaming charts already named and linked?

Re: graph issues in eviews 13
I am trying to paste in what I am seeing but it isn't working. Essentially in PPT, when I use "paste special", the "paste link" is greyed out, and the Source is shown as "unknown". I am assuming there is something I need to turn on either in PPT or in eviews but haven't...

Re: graph issues in eviews 13
Yes. We just loaded it.
I did figure out the "fuzzy" issue. the new Eviews seems to default to the opacity setting being "auto" at 75%. Changing it to 100% fixed the problem.
However, the linking problem has not been resolved.

graph issues in eviews 13
I am dealing with 2 graph issues:
1. When pasting a graph into Word/powerpoint, the lines on the graph are "fuzzy" almost like dots. I haven't figured out how to make them solid.
2. My PPT/Word isn't recognizing a saved chart and isn't linking.

Re: scatterplot charts no longer save regression lines
Any idea when this will be addressed. We just updated our system and it wasn't addressed.

scatterplot charts no longer save regression lines
I have a couple of scatterplot charts I use in publications. Up until this new version, it save and update the chart and retain the regression line. Now, when the data are updated, the chart loses the regression line and when it is added, the rest of the chart features are lost, e.g., titles, arrows...

Re: RecShade (add US recession shading)
After updating to eviews12, this addin keeps giving me an "error in sample: range error" It worked fine before the update. I updated the addin but nothing has worked.
