weighting
hi, i have two independent variables that i want to have equal weighting with regards to how it affects my dependent variable, but the first independent variable runs from 1-10 while the second has a much larger range of values, which seems to mean that the Independent variable exerts a much greater...

Modelling
Hi,
How would one go about establishing and estimating a simple model that gives values in a robust way:
for instance: x+y=z, where z would be determined in the model (so i would generate values for z using x and y)
THanks

SUR
Hi,
I want to run a seemingly unrelated regression.
Just want to confirm that I can run it with (slightly) different independent variables in either equation.
Thanks

Diagnostic Tests
Hi, I'm running a cross section multivariate linear regression and I'm wondering what are the diagnostic tests i should perform to ensure robustness?
thanks

Deflating Data
Hi,
I have a several nominal series (such as GDP, investment etc). Is there some quick easy way I can deflate them to make them real? As in one that wouldnt have me doing it one by one by hand.
Thanks

Multiple Regression
hey, i want to estimate a model for my dissertation in the form of y= a+bx+cz+e where a,b,c are coefficients and x and z are independent variables. I know I could use OLS, but would like something more advanced than that, what sort of options do I have? or should more advanced than ols be down to an...

Re: Dissertation- Bid Data
Yeah, unfortunately realised that. Going to try and investigate something else. Will update you all on the mess of my life.

Dissertation- Bid Data
Hi, For my undergrad dissertation I'm investigating the bids for franchises of the privatised British rail. I only can get data for the winning bids, and would like to investigate what determines the winning bid- so some form of a probit model with binary outcome 1 or 0, except I only observe winnin...
