Interpreting results with a dummy at left hand side
Hi, In a model a regressed I used a dummy variable at the left-hand side to explain its presence. The explanatory variables at the right hand side are partly significant, but how do I interpret the coefficients. For example: Y= b + 24.5 population + e So one of the coefficients has a result of 0.245...

Negative R-aquared using TSLS
Hi there,
I am running some regressions using TSLS, but I am getting a negative R-squared. What does this mean and is this oke?
Thanks in advance!

Data in kilometers
Hi,
I had a question regarding distances. How can I use data in kilometers in a regression with variables that are mainly in percentages and dummies?
Thank you in advance!

Averaging within series
Hi, I want calculate the average within a series. The serie consists of 145 countries with data from 1990 to 2010. I want to calculate the average from 1990-1999 and 2000-2010. This is the data: AFG - 90 1089.49 AFG - 91 969.85 AFG - 92 902.06 AFG - 93 600.9 AFG - 94 431.85 AFG - 95 619.04 AFG - 96 ...

Re: Panel Data "near singular matrix"
Thanks for the link! It is very helpful to get a panel datasheet in eviews. However, I am still not sure how to do a regression regarding the the average of GDP between 1990-2000 and the influence of the GDP per capita data in 1990 on this average. What technique is the best to use in this case? And...

Panel Data "near singular matrix"
Hi, I have a question regarding excel formation of the data. I want a number of countries with data for 1990 to 2010. I want to regress the average growth of GDP per capita form 1990 - 2000 with GDP per capita in 1990 ( to measure the effect of GDP per capita in 1990 on the average growth of 1990-20...

Re: LIKELIHOOD
I want to a likelihood estimation, but I am not sure which model(s) are the best to use for this. And for the second question: I have my data on an excel sheet in columns, and ordenend vertically and not horizontally. So like this: GDP FDI AFG 1990 51 13 AFG 1991 72 12 AFG 1993 61 14 ALB 1990 82 14 ...

LIKELIHOOD
Hello, How is a likelihood estimation conducted with EViews (8)? I have a to do a regression where I have a dependent variable which is a number. And I want to know how what factors affect this number (increase/decrease). It is about the amount of Banks and their effect on Economic growth. So my dep...
