Hello guys,
I am a student and recently I was assigned with a coursework over forecasting. I have been trying to solve all the questions of the coursework but I have stuck. I have attached the questions of my coursework and the workfile with all the calculations that I have done so far. Just to make clear, I am not asking from you to do my corsework, just to give me guidelines.
Since now, I have solved the first part of the question. In the second part, it asks to do ex-post forecasting for 1 , 2 and 3-months ahead. From what I have understand, if you do static forecasting, this is one-step ahead forecast. Right? How can I do 2 and 3 step ahead forecast? Some of my classmates said that I have to write a code and run in in Eviews. I have searched the internet and this forum and haven't found something familiar. At least I think so.
I have found these posts:
N-Step ahead Out-of-Sample-Forecasts
multistep forecast vecm
Multi-step ahead forecast
storing step ahead forecasts from ADL model in a series.
38 estimations and forecasts
Forecasting
But it is difficult for me to link these cases with mine.
Furthermore I have attached the graph that my professor has in his notes.
And I am asking you because my professor sucks and he said that he won't answer and question regarding the coursework.
Thank you very much guys in advance.
Thanasis
