frequency conversion won't work

Hi

I'm pretty new to eviews so I guess is just me who is a newbie. I have a workfile containing two series with different frequencies (monthly and quarterly, respectively). When I made the workfile I chose the frequency to monthly. I would like to convert the quarterly series by "linear: match last" which I do by clicking on the series in the workfile => properties => freq convert => linear-match last. But nothing seems to happen - the quarterly observation is still just splitted into three equally numbers (if the quarterly observation is 3 in Q1 it is equal to 1 in M1, M2 and M3 etc.). Can you help me out? I haven't been able to find anything in the user guide but it may be that I have missed it. Thx!

Hi guys, I am trying to change the frequency of my data from quarterly to monthly. I tried using the copy and paste special functions in Eviews (9.5), as described in the link below, but when I "paste special", there is no paste special dialog popping up. It might be because I am not naming my pages appropriately? I attach the file for convenience (eurozone current account balance as a % of GDP). Your help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Izabela

Post the EViews file, not an Excel file.

Hi Gareth, sorry about that. Please see file attached. I should also mention that I have been trying to do this (the conversion) on mac. Thanks.

That workfile only has one page.
