does Excel 2010 affect Eviews?

Postby wilshire » Wed Oct 02, 2013 8:38 am

I would like to seek your advice regarding any integrated components between Eviews and Excel.

I want to know if Office 2010 will affect Eviews 8 and 7.

Could you be a little more specific?

We are thinking of buying new computers, and they would include Office 2010.

Would Office 2010 disable some functionality of Eviews? If yes, we will continue to use Office 2007.

If you have seen some evidence that Office 2010 does affect Eviews, please let me know.

Excel doesn't affect EViews in anyway.

If you use the EViews add-in for Excel, you're best off matching bitness - i.e. if you are using 64bit EViews, install 64bit Excel.
