I am using Eviews 8. My question related to census X12. I have a program that starts with Westpac.x12(mode=a,save="d12"), where Westpac is a series, I am keeping getting this error msg:

"You cannot run Census X-11/X-12 from a shared directory which has spaces in its name in "DO_WESTPAC.X12 (MODE=A,SAVE="D12")"

I check the variable Westpac and there is no space in the name.

Can you help me out?

The problem is the location of the EViews installation. X12 cannot be installed on a shared drive with spaces in its name.

So how I fix it? I have to change the name where the Eviews 8 is located to Eviews8, for instance.

Yes, you'll have to re-install EViews to another location.
