Problem with copy-command including @src @dest

Postby Zero » Wed Jun 19, 2013 1:21 pm

Hallo,
I´m using eviews 8 (build Jun 13 2013)for a gravity equation and have workfiles with bilateral trade date. Now I load new workfilepages with gdp-data from worldbank and distance-data from cepii in new workfilepages. When I´m doing this command

copy gdp_long\y gravity\y_d @src country_code year @dest ctr_d dateid
copy gdp_long\y gravity\y_o @src country_code year @dest ctr_o dateid

the first y_o (gdp-origin) ist working correctly, but the second y_d has not the correct data in the series-object.

The smallest version of my workfiles is even bigger than 2 mb, is there another way to send the file to you than upload it?

Thanks for your help.

You can email it to support@eviews.com

Zipping your workfiles generally makes them much smaller for emailing. You can also save the workfile (in EViews) with single precision, rather than double precision, to make the workfiles smaller prior to zipping.

Could you explain why you think it isn't working?

When you open y_o and y_d as group, y_o for ALB is for all years the same 1,30e+10 and this is the last observation for 2011 in the gdp_long page of the workfile but not the correct gdp from the source.
