Hi guys,

Using Eviews 8 (64-bit) - april 23 2013 build, eviews is crashing when i estimate dynamic forecasts where the forecast sample start isnt the same as the range start in the workfile for both Markov and Simple switching regressions. When i set the sample start=range start, no crash.

Any help? Best wishes, and thanks in advance.

I returned back to the issue of forecasting from switching regressions, and the crashes are more frequent than first anticipated and are not restricted to instances where you change the forecast sample start. For example, crashes appear to occur for any combination of dependent/switching/non-switching coefficients....

Any advance on this issue?

Have you updated to the latest version?

Apologies Gareth, I didn't have auto updates turned on and didn't see the May 6 2013 patch. Works just great, thank you so much.
