Redefining sample range

Postby davey87 » Fri Feb 22, 2013 7:43 am

Hello,

I am currently working in a workfile where I have a series of annual data from 1971 to 2012. This series is for a bunch of age groups and gender. As an example, I will use the 0 to 4 age group for males. It is called p0to4m.

I need to generate another series which is the exact same, except only for the year 1971 to 2006. So, I want to generate another series called p0to4mm which is equal to p0to4m, but only for the years 1971 to 2006.

I'm sure there is an easy way to do this.

Thanks.

Code: Select all

smpl 1971 2006 series p0to4mm = p0to4m
