Database and "Resid"Issues

Postby canboardrp » Mon Jan 14, 2013 8:17 am

A number of months ago, I wrote a couple of programs. One of the program pulled some data from a number of sources, did some adjustments and saved it into a database, adjusting for a specific frequency. The second program pulled the data from this database and that where I completed some estimation and econometric work.

In the past, I never had an issue with saving or pulling data from the database. However now, when I go to save or pull data I get the following error message:
RESID already exists and can not be overwritten in (FILE PATH)
I'm wondering what the problem might be and how I can fix this. In the period between uses of the program, my workstation was updated to Windows 7 as well as re-installed copy of Eviews. Is there an option or something I need to adjust?

Are you trying to fetch RESID from a database?

There are a large number of series involved, so when saving and fetching to the database, I just have the * to save/fetch all series.

As I noted, before this was never an issue.

Best guess it that somehow the RESID series was stored to your database for the first time recently. Now when you do a fetch of everything, you're fetching the RESID series too.
