Dear,
I have 2 variables (a dependent and independent) which are almost uncorrelated (-2%), however when I applied fixed effect regression I found on of that the independent significantly affecting the dependent variables at P-value (0.000), what would cause that ? is it possible that there is wrong in my sample ?

I looked in the statistical material and I found that could be related to jointly normally distributed variables, is their any test shows that two variables are jointly normal? Does the interpretation of one variable dependency on other according to the existence of this case ?
