Performance issue

Postby gurusironmani » Mon Jul 23, 2012 8:57 pm

Hi,

I received a project for the maintenance. It was developed using EViews. The EViews7.exe was ran and report was generated when each and every user click the calculate button. But here performance was very slow when more no of user try to get the report at a time.

1. How can i resolve this performance issue?
2. If any other way is there, instead of running EViews exe i.e. if any web services are available for that?

Regards,

I'm afraid I don't understand your question. Could you provide more details?

we developed one application for generating economic statistical report using EViews. For this we are giving some input data from client side (web browser).
then in the server, the EViews starts its calculation and finally it generate the report.
My question is,
1. For a single user EViews application was run in server side. So it causes a performance issue if more no of concurrent users came. how can we resolve this?
2. In development server, if more than 2 users try to get the report then EViews through an error message like "you have exceeded the concurrent use limit for your EViews license. Please try again later."
In this scenario that user request was terminated or it will process when a queue will free?

Please contact our office (support@eviews.com) for information on running as a web service like that. You should include your serial number with all email correspondence.
