Hi there,
Using EViews 7.2, I have changed from MS Office 2003 to 2010 and understand that the import command has to be used for reading Excel files instead of the read command. This is an example of what I used in a procedure reading and manipulating data to read from Excel in the old Office format:
READ(B2,T=XLS,S=Quarterly,T) "<Path>\hist.xls" 35
I have to read quite a few files. In the read command I had the T option which specified that the series are arranged in rows rather than columns. Now, I can't seem to make the import command understand that the time series are arranged in rows. Does the import command require the series to be in columns or is there a way to import the data in rows from Excel 2010 sheets without changing the orientation of the data?
Many thanks
Joe

Currently the import command requires data arranged in columns.
