Suggestion to have add-in or better yet an option in main program (call it table elements like graph elements) to automatically build/make a table (similar to Table in Excel).
This would ask for number of rows and columns, text and title for each component, and ability to toggle so that the program can pick
up entries and run on to the input next query/step.
This would save lots of programming time to just set things up and enable a nonprogramming user to input their own parameters.

automatic table generation options
I'm afraid I am having difficulty understanding this request. Perhaps you can provide a more concrete example.
Also, please note there are already a number of add-in routines for creating tables especially from equations.

Re: automatic table generation options
I don't know if this is already available - perhaps you can advise if so.
In my program I enter p-values desired and also enter if I want to say, estimate for a tomato or a potato. Sometimes I want to indicate the sample size desired.
I'd like to have a routine that automatically throws a table up on the screen that asks for any such things up front before running the program. It should be simple enough so that once the questions in the table have been filled in, there's a "run" button.
In other words make it simple enough for anyone to run the program without having to set any of these options within the program itself.
Is there any existing add-in or something else that can save the time of writing code to set up such a table by enabling construction of the table automatically.
In this, as with the graphic elements option, I'd just specify the number of rows and columns in such a table and then enable entry of text such asasking whether I want to run potatoes or tomatoes, what is the p-value or other items, and so forth.
Hope this clarifies.
thanks.

Re: automatic table generation options
That's a bit like saying that you wish Microsoft Word would throw up a dialog asking what you wanted in your essay so that you wouldn't have to write the essay.
A table object in EViews has an infinite number of possibilities. A general routine that created tables for you from those infinite possibilities would be impossible.
It sounds like you have something more specific in mind, but you haven't articulated what it is you want the tables to contain.

Re: automatic table generation options
Fair enough. Will try playing with table objects and see if I can work with it. What I have in mind
is a generic table generator option.
thanks.

The table command is a generic table generator option.
