Probit Equation - Undefined Error
Hello. I'm trying to run a probit regression. What I'm doing is first creating a workfile, then creating a pooled time series. After that, I import my data, and then clicking Object --> New Object --> Equation. Whenever I put in my variables, EViews tells me that my dependent variable is undefined. Am I placing my data in the incorrect place?

That error message indicates that the series you're trying to use for the dependent variable doesn't exist in the workfile. Are you sure it does?
Also, I'm confused by what you mean by pooled time series. Are you using a pool workfile? Are you trying to perform pooled probit? If so, EViews doesn't support that.

Yes, I'm using data that includes ~140 countries from 2005-2008. Is this going to be a problem?

EViews doesn't include any panel/pool probit estimators.

Thank you, Gareth. Do you happen to know of any programs that have the capability to do what I'm needing?

I don't. (Which doesn't mean they don't exist, just that I'm not aware of them).
