From a brand new Eviews user:
I am reading Chapter 1 of the guidelines (A Quick Walk-through), where it tells you on page 3 to go and download a file called “nysevolume.wf1”. This file is not loaded on my computer but in Chapter 1 it tells you these files are available on www.eviews.com. Does anyone know exactly where? I can't find them.

Just to clarify. The book to which the poster is referring is the "EViews Illustrated" book by Richard Startz, not the EViews 6 manuals themselves.

That said, the data should be in the EViews6 installation folder in a folder named "EViews Illustrated Data," if, on installation of the program, the user chose to install all of the sample data and programs. If you would like to download the data, go to our download area...

and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There under the "Data" section are links to the Startz data.
