Hi all,
I am doing a research for my thesis, but I do not have a strong background in econometrics/eviews. I am using panel data, with a different number of observations for each year, from 90 different industries. I am to perform a regression, and one of my variables is an industry specific dummy. My "guidance person" (or whatever you call her in English) told me there is a way to let Eviews do this in a regression (instead of making 90 different dummy variables, one for each industry). I have however no clue how to do this, and neither does she. Can anyone please help me? Thanks!

You're describing fixed effects (a dummy for each cross-section). Once you have your data in a panel workfile in EViews, you can estimate an equation, and one of the options available to you is to estimate with fixed effects.
