Running many LS models with a loop

Hello,

I am not a programmer (unfortunately  ) and I am realizing how much time it would save if I were!

I want to run a program that runs ARMA(p,q) + trend + seasonality models from p = 0 to 4 and q = 0 to 4. This is 16 different models. Is there a way to get all the outputs for these? Or even, better, just the SIC's and AICs?

Does anyone have a better suggestion besides brute force?

Thanks so much for your help!

If only there was some sort of introduction to programming that covered this sort of thing.

I already read that and I don't get it. I am not a programmer. All the codes I write don't run. But thanks for the pernicious sarcasm, it really makes it likely this forum will used again.

You'll get more help if you show us what you have done, and why/how it isn't working. Your initial post seems to indicate you want to become a programmer and learn. Your second post seems to indicate you want someone to write the program for you. You'll get a lot more help with the first than the second.

Note that Gareth is responsible for one-fourth of the posts here. He is extraordinarily helpful. It would be wise to assume good intentions on his part.
