testing difference in coefficients.

Postby Floorjd » Wed Feb 09, 2011 4:30 am

Hi everyone. (eviews 7)

I have a particularly simple question probably, but I don't know the answer.

I have to prove that differences between coefficients are significant. What I need to prove it that the average firm size of a certain industry in a country is larger or smaller in to the other countries.

9.45
20.39
49.69
59.51

These are the numbers. I need to prove that they are statistically different and that the difference is significant.
I also need to do it for these 7 coefficients.

12.45000
15.23000
4.210000
5.920000
46.69000
20.39000
59.51000

What I tried at first was a test on equality on variance and equality on means. But that didn't really work out for me. Perhaps I made a mistake, but I don't know what.

My question is: Which test do I need to apply? And How should I do that?

Any help is appreciated.

Regards
