Differences

This is probably a stupid question...

I know that d(x) calculates the first difference, i.e. x - x(-1), but how do I find the difference in the previous period, i.e. x(-1) - x(-2)? Is it just d(x(-1))?

d(X(-1)) = X(-1) - X(-2)

so yeah.
