total factor productivity

Postby rafrods » Sat May 11, 2024 6:05 pm

Hello. I'm doing a study on the applicability of kaldor's laws to some Brazilian municipalities, but I'm having difficulty with the variable productivity of the economy or total factor productivity.

In this case, I have the following data, for all municipalities that will be the subject of the study during the period 2011 to 2021: GDP; Added value of the industry; added value of non-industrial sectors; population; GDP per capita, number of workers; number of workers in the industry; number of workers in non-industrial sectors; electric power consumption; industrial electrical energy consumption; non-industrial electrical energy consumption; public spending; public investment spending; public expenditure on personnel; revenue.

In this sense, the question is how to use these variables to construct a productivity variable, and how to use them to estimate the total productivity of factors in E-views.
