Seasonal Adjustment (X11/X12)

I wanted to pass along an experience I had. When EViews 12 installed on my personal computer, it used the directory EViews 12. The space here is key. When I attempted to run seasonal adjustment, it would not work. I received the message that cannot run seasonal adjustment when the directory has a space between characters. To change this, I went to C:, then Program Files and located the directory this program was in: EVIEWS 12. Using the Administrator status, I changed the directory name to EViews12 (no space). That fixed the problem.

Note: I ran into this same problem with the prior version of EViews.

Yes, X11-X12 are both ancient applications written when folders could not have spaces.

One of the reasons we suggest moving to X-13
