Two part bug with series drop down menu

(1) If you have the series drop down menu show in either the command pane or in a modal dialog and switch to a window in another program--like Snip & Sketch-- the drop down menu disappears.
(2) If you type a capital letter as the lead symbol in a series name, when the series are being displayed as lower case, the drop down menu doesn't find the series and just starts at the top of the list. I'd show you a picture, except see (1) above.
