EViews 11 does not run on mac OS Catalina

I tried to redownload Eviews several times, but the program does not open even though the download seemed to be alright. The registration window does not pop up. In the previous times i tried to run it a "you need a java developer kit" window popped up, but afterwards nothing happened, i just press on the icon and that's it.
