My Eviews 11 keeps crahing when i try to use certain applications. I was advised to install update. When I do I get a message saying that EViews is still running and needs to be closed. This is depsite having everything closed on my desktop. Any idea what could be causing this?

Paul, our patch installer seems to be having trouble updating your files. This could be because EViews is still running in the background or because the patch doesn’t have enough admin rights to update your files.
Try this:
Download the patch manually from our website: http://EViews.com/download
and save it to your desktop.
Next log off or reboot your machine and then log back in.
Finally right click the patch you just downloaded and select Run as Administrator.
Allow the patch to finish.
