Hi,

Eviews 11 works well most of the time. However it occassionally crashes without reporting an error. I don't know what the exact reason is, but it appears to be related to instances when I copy or save lots of data.

I have two different prg files where it crashes. In these, it always crashes. In others it never does. The prg files work fine with Eviews 10, although they are a bit slow.

In one of these problematic files the crash occurs somewhere here:

Copy(m)    C:\temp\FV2.wf1::a\n*
Copy(m)    C:\temp\TI.wf1::a\n*

Each workfile I am copying from contains between 1000 - 5000 series or so that I am trying to copy. Many of them overlap.

I will use Eviews 10 when I have problems so it's not an urgent problem. Unfortunately I cannot send you the actual data.

What's your build date for EViews 11? Also, can you narrow down which copy line is causing the crash? If so, save a copy of your workfile before that line, then see if performing that one line still causes the crash.

I installed the may 9 patch today, and it is still crashing.

Stopping the prg file and running the next copy command via the command window also causes a crash.

Hi, I have a similar problem. Eviews crashes when I try to export data in Excel. I am using version 11, updated to May 27. thanks
