How do I change sample range

Hi

The data sample range in my work file is 199M12 to 2010M01. I want to append two more observations. Toggling the edit mode of any data series (in spreadsheet view) allows me to edit one of the existing cells. But new cells remain off limits. How can I append observation to a time series?
