Fetch command: getting a series from database with pattern

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to paste a serie into a workfile which already have a serie with the same name. Doing so using the mouse is OK, it is just copy the serie in the database and paste (special) it into the workfile, giving the serie a different name. However, I couldn't find an argument to the fetch function that renames the serie before pasting it. Is that possible?
OBS: I'm writing a code to do it a lot of times, so it's important to know how to write something like that.
