I use a panel within which I sample at two specific periods. Furthermore, I restrict my sample to a couple of cross sections and plot individual barcharts.

How can I set different colors for the filling of the bars for each of the two periods?

You may need to create different series for each sample period and then graph the 2 series together. From here, freeze the graph to create a graph object and then use the 'setelem' command.

We can give you more specific instructions but a copy of your workfile and an indication of which data source (series or group) you would like to graph would greatly help.
