Problem with estimation sample not changing for switching regression

I have an issue when running a switching regression that it always uses the full range rather than the selected range. This does not happen with other estimation methods and I was wondering if there is a setting I'm unaware of that overrides the sample period box in the estimation window. I have tried to set the sample both in general for the workfile and specifically when estimating the model.

I use Eviews 8 Enterprise Edition Jul 26 2013 build.
