Total Newbie - Bank Regulation models

Hi, I'm trying to write a paper on the relationship between financial regulation and GDP growth. I'm using the example of Mexico from 1994 to 2006. For the period, I have monthly banking sector credit data (number of pesos) and quarterly GDP data. I also have monthly monetary aggregates, if you feel that would be helpful to the topic.
I've never used eViews on my own before, so not exactly sure where to start. If you have any idea how I should start, or what model I should use, I would greatly appreciate it.
