Eviews Code in Text Editors / IDE's

I think it would be great to have an Eviews package/plugin for some of the major text editors. I personally use Github's Atom editor for code, and it supports a lot of languages aside from javascript. However, there is currently no eviews code package for it. Although there is nothing wrong with coding within eviews, using something like Atom would have benefits that include tree-view/ collapsible loops/arguments, fuzzy find, auto complete, ect. Some coding operations are simple, but for coding something very complex like markov switching or a rolling regression, some of us may prefer to utilize the capabilities of text editors and IDE's.

Simply put, interfacing between eviews and text editors and IDE's is currently not comparable to the existing ease of interfacing between eviews and 3rd party data storing programs like excel. With programming becoming more pervasive in the econometric industry, I would like to know eview's stance towards this.

We are completely open to people creating packages for other editors. I believe there is already a NotePad++ one for EViews.
