Can't open DBs on network drive

Since I've upgraded to EViews 9 (EE, May 1 2015 build) I seem to have issues accessing databases located on a network drive. Despite the drive and relevant directories being accessible from Windows Explorer and other applications, including EViews 8, I cannot open them or add them to the registry in EViews 9. Any idea why this may be the case?
