draw a diagonal line on a graph

Hi everybody,

I would like to draw some diagonal lines on graphs - does someone know if this is possible? i.e. I have some scatterplots where I want to draw the 45°line and some parallels to this line.

As far as I have figured out the "draw" command only places horizontal or vertical lines. Any suggestions?

Some more informations about my scatterplots: I have for each country a group with the gdp and the export series. Then, I create a "world"-group containing all theses country groups and make a scatterplot of this world-group (one plot for each year). And these graphs should contain, besides all the dots, some diagonal lines.

Thanks and best regards!

Unfortunately this is not possible at the moment :(

I was afraid of this... :( (perhaps you could implement it for the next version...?)

However, many thanks for the prompt reply! Best, mariposa

If you are desperate, create a fake series with all the points along a 45 degree line and include that in your plot.

I too would like the option to draw diagonal lines. Any progress on this?

Yes. You will be able to draw straight lines and arrows in EViews 8. :)

I'm also trying to draw a diagonal line in a scatter plot (actual vs. fitted values). I have Eviews 8, but I can't figure out the programming command... Can you please help me?

Look up graph.addarrow in the object reference.
