E Views on VMWARE

Hello,
New to this.. Can I install EVIEWS 8.0 (Students' Version) on VMWARE Player installed on a Linux or a FreeDOS machine? Thanks & Regards

It should work, but you'll have to email
register@eviews.com with your serial number to check.

Thanks. Pardon me, however, for asking this. What exactly would you "check"? The issue is that I have a Windows 8.1 laptop. I run my EViews on that at present. I may buy a Linux/FreeDOS based laptop & install VMPLAYER on that. One of the criteria for buying the new laptop would be its ability to support analytics using EViews. Thanks & Regards.

I just got Eviews 9, and a trial version of vmware fusion 7, plus the authorization of eviews fr my Mac Pro on Yosemite. Now I want to know if Eviews will work directly after the installation of vmware, or do I absolutely need to install Window 7 or else on it before the installation of Eviews?

You'll need a virtual installation of Windows running under VMWare.
