graphs in spool -- why are they changing position?

Hi,
Was wondering if anyone can tell me what setting I have inadvertently altered to produce the following odd behavior. I have many graphs in a spool; when I delete one of them the remaining graphs all shift to the right, half disappearing from view (they move farther to the right than the boundary of the window).
When I scroll up or down, they all shift to the left again.
This did not always happen this way. I'm convinced I've futzed with some setting that is producing add justification behavior within the spool but I can't figure it out. Any help appreciated.
