Cannot import/edit data - all is set to NA

Hello,
I've been working with Eviews for a week now, and today all the data on my files was set to NA. I tried re-importing the data from the excel file, but it didn't work. Neither did manually inserting the data into the series, as it all reverted to NA once I pressed enter.
Is there any way to fix this without an update? Whenever I try to update its says "This feature is blocked by your administrator". The build is EViews 8 - Jul 26 2013.
