I have been struggling with this problem for a couple of days, but the solution is probably really simple I guess.
I have data from four countries, each with around 20 variables. I have imported it into eviews from excel so that I have one workfile for each country and one workfile page for each variable within each country. For each workfile page I have two or three series, but I have also grouped these series since I thought that would do the job, but I have not found the solution.

The problem is that I want to stack all of these variables (all the workfile pages) on top of each into a new workfile or workfile page. The variables does not contain the same samples, the date is different from each variabel, so I want to stack it up to a really big matrix/group where I have it like this:

01/01/2008 2 na
01/02/2008 1 na
.............. .. ....
01/12/2008 8 na
01/01/2009 na 1
01/02/2009 na 3
........................

and so on.

I'm not 100% sure I understand how you want the data to end up, but it seems to me that you can probably get what you want by just copying data from one page to another, and by using the pageappend (Proc->Append to current page) command.


However, I'll point out that if the goal is to create a panel workfile, you're probably better off not putting the data into so many different workfile pages in the first place. This thread might help.

The problem is that its different dates for the different variables, so it does not work out very well with the append command, otherwise I would have done that at the beginning. I want to try to stack all the dates on top of each other, and have the values for the different variables in the columns. The hard part is to move a group from one page to another and stack the different groups on top of each other and at the same time let me structure it with the stacked dates as id_list, is there any command which let me do that?

It isn't clear, from that workfile, what sort of date structure you're hoping to use.

If you had a proper date structure, you could probably just copy things from one page to another.

I have grouped the series on each workfile page and I have used the "datetime"-series in each workfile page as structure for id. What I have tried to do is to stack the groups on top of each other so I can get a panel data system.
I have done it on a excel-file which I attach, is there any commands in Eviews that let me stack these groups on top of each other and at the same time let me keep the different datetimes as structure so I get the same results as in the excel-file?

I'm still not 100% certain what you're trying to achieve, but I'm guessing that your date structure is too messy to do anything meaningful.

It seems to me that a simple page append will get all of the pages into one page, but what you're trying to do after that is beyond me. The Excel file looks like you simply plopped each page on top of each other, which is what page append would do.
