EIA database problem

Not sure it is a bug. But I applied for and got the code and followed instructions. It finds the database. But when I click on "Browse" I get "No api_key" even though the correct key is shown under "View, Preferences." Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but the instructions were simple and I followed them.
