FRED CRASH BUG

Dear all,

Fetching some specific series from FRED crashes the July 2 build. For example:

Code: Select all

fetch FRED::HSTBNDMOW052N.
You can find this series in the FRED database (easyquery), but you cant export to workfile manually either. I believe this is happening with some of the other series too, and I will post other series below which I find which cause this crash bug.

Best wishes,

Charlie

The three series that I can find to cause this crash out of the 150,000 or so which I've searched are:

  • hstbndmow052n
    hstbndpaw052n
    hstbndtnw052n

These are a subset of the weekly `disunion era bond prices' for various states, it appears. I thought I had previously encountered this bug with a quarterly series, but I must have been mistaken.

Hope this helps in some small manner. Again - big fan of the FRED integration in EViews and ALFRED would be just fantastic should it ever get implemented.

Charlie

Thanks. We'll look into it.

The disunion era bond prices appear to have duplicate or mislabeled observations for

Code: Select all

1855-07-27 1855-08-08 1855-08-10
8-08 and 8-10 are within the same week. We will let our FRED contact know and fix the crash, but unfortunately you still wont be able to download the series until it is fixed on the FRED side.

The latest patch should contain a fix for the crash.
